Location and access
North-east of Cong. Park at mini-roundabout where R346 dog-legs into the village, follow trail north that becomes progressively less obvious. Cross river and ascend to Pollnacathraig.
Description
Stream rises, crosses and sinks in an open pit.

Notes
Rising. North-west corner of pit. Large cavern entrance. Passage drops steeply north-west, kinks south-west at -11 m, and bottoms-out at -25 m. Dive line in place at left hand side.
Sink. North-east corner of pit. Some water sinks rapidly through boulders.
Sink. South-east corner of pit. Stream sinks in obvious cave. Diving only possible in very low flow conditions.
